April Market OverviewShreveport/Bossier, LA – (Caddo, Bossier, Desoto Parishes only) April Summary:  Sales were above average.  Average price was up.  Inventory declined slightly. Sales:  April posted a really strong month with 420 home sales compared to the 5 year average of 382.   However, it was not quite enough to top the 429 homes sold last year in April which was the best April we’ve seen since 2007.    This puts home sales ahead of last year by just +... read more

Mortgage interest rates are dropping. We have plenty of homes to choose from and our prices are so much lower than the rest of the country. Our housing market is doing well. It’s great to live in Northwest Louisiana! February Market Overview Shreveport/Bossier, LA – (Caddo, Bossier, Desoto Parishes only) Sales: After a strong start in January, sales slowed in February bringing home sales to exactly the same spot they were at this time last year. Home sales in February alone were down 6% year over year with 313 homes sold versus 334 last year. February has averaged 310 sales over the last 5 years so this year was as expected.
