5 Simple Ways to Give Your Bedroom a Face Lift
Creating the Oasis Buyers Want
Posted: February 10, 2020 by Jessica Wimberly
We see it all the time.
You move into your new home, start a list of "to-do's" and somehow your bedroom seems to always be the last room to get any love. And now, the years have passed and it's time to sell and move on to the next. So, today we are sharing some simple tips to make buyers fall in love with your personal oasis.
Swap out your sheets and duvet cover for something white. While you might be drawn to brighter colors and patterns, white creates a blank canvas that can appeal to anyone and as a bonus, it also looks more luxurious (think fancy hotel style)!
Put a fresh coat of *neutral* paint on the walls. Again – the blank canvas does wonders and will also photograph better. Almost every buyer will see your house online before they see it in person so this is your chance to get them to take that next step. Neutral wall colors are also going to give you that Instagram worthy look!
Add a rug for a touch of cozy – Even if your bedroom is carpeted, adding a rug can add some style to your space.
Add a chandelier for a hint of elegance. If your bedroom light consists of one of those $19 lamps from Target and an old ceiling fan, you’ll want to invest in some updated lighting before your house hits the market. Check out stores like Wayfair for inexpensive options.
Add greenery – wE give this advice over and over again! It can really apply to any room in your house. Adding in a plant or 2 will always bring life to a space (especially if it’s feeling a little blah)!
And just like that, your bedroom is the most wanted on the market and you still have money in your pocket!
