Spring is in full swing and Summer is on its way. Ok. Ok. It's we live in Louisiana - it's already here, which means it's time to boost up your curb appeal!

Whether you are getting your home ready for sale or you just need a mini front porch makeover, today we are sharing some very easy tips to do just that!

#1. Swap Out The Welcome Mat

Nothing says "unwelcome" more than a shabby looking front door mat - especially when it's been beaten up over the Winter months. Pick up a new on from Target or World Market (they both have super cute ones right now!) next time you are out. Opt for something with a pop of color for a cheery Summer vibe!

Layering doormats has also been a big trend over the past year. Consider getting a patterned outdoor rug to place underneath your door mat for added style.

Custom doormats are also a fun way to personalize your front stoop! Whether it says something funny like "Only ring if you have tacos" or is customized with your last name, it's always a conversation starter when you have guests! We found that Etsy has some pretty  awesome options!

#2. Get To Planting!

Could your front porch use some color? Now is the time to go to your local nursery (Akins & Ellis Pottery are some of our favorites!) and scoop up some bright flowers to put in some planters. They also carry lots of stylish planters - Which can be a little bit of a splurge, but will seriously take your front porch from a 1 to a 10 in no time!

#3. Style Your Address

When people drive up to your home, the first thing they usually see are your address numbers - Especially if it's their first time coming over.

How do yours look? Could they use an upgrade? Or maybe you only have tiny numbers on your mailbox. Look into some decorative digits to attach to the house by your front door for bonus style points. (You can also find these on Etsy!)

We hope this was helpful! Feel free to share pictures of your front porch with us!
